Death Café Facilitator Training

Please join CESPHN and SESLHD for training designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to facilitate a Death Café, a community gathering where people come together in a safe, respectful, and informal environment to openly discuss death, dying, and end-of-life issues.

Learn how to create a welcoming space that fosters meaningful conversations, increases death literacy, and supports community connection. Whether you're a healthcare professional, community leader, or simply passionate about end-of-life conversations, this training offers practical tools, guidance, and support to help you facilitate engaging and respectful dialogue in your community.

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand the Death Café approach and facilitator role.

• Develop skills to facilitate safe and respectful conversations about death and dying.

• Learn strategies to manage group dynamics and support meaningful dialogue.

• Gain practical knowledge for planning and hosting a Death Café.

• Build confidence to lead end-of-life conversations within their communities
