Death Cafe @ Xavier's Place

What is a death cafe?

A Death Cafe is a place where people gather to eat, drink and discuss death. Organised by Sporulation 2023 artist Helen Simpson, attendees will lead the conversation where it suits them on the day.

There is no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product, or course of action. A death Café is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.

The idea is 'to normalise a difficult, not morbid, topic and to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.
