Death Over Dinner Tenx9
Event description
Join the Compassionate Communities Collaborative for a Death Over Dinner event. In partnership with Tenx9 Fleurieu, we bring you a night of storytelling. Listen to 9 people tell a real story from their lives for up to 10 minutes in our beautiful venue, Waverly Park Homestead, Willunga. Â
Compassionate Communities Collaborative groups bring people together and provide opportunities for people to talk about living well, death, dying and grief. We strive for a community that understands death, stays socially connected and can support each other to live well and care for each other in illness, death and grief.Â
So, what is a Tenx9?Â
Tenx9 was started by Paul Doran and Pádraig Ó Tuama in the Autumn of 2011. Initially starting in the front room at the Black Box in Belfast, Tenx9 gathered a monthly group of 40 people for true stories. Tenx9 has expanded to many cities and has been operating throughout the Fleurieu since 2018. After a short break, Tenx9 Fleurieu are back in partnership with the Compassionate Communities Collaborative. With the theme "Into The Unknown", we are offering a safe space to come together and share our stories. Free Fleurieu Food and Wine charcuterie grazing boxes will be provided. The bar will be open to purchase drinks. Reasonably priced wine and beer will be available throughout the night.
