DEBRA Australia - Health Professionals EB Symposium 2025

DEBRA Australia is proud to be hosting our flagship Health Professionals EB Symposium again this September 2025. Guest speakers from Australia and across the globe will showcase the latest advancements in clinical care and research for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). 

Program

The program will include a clinical update on therapies under development, a panel discussion on multidisciplinary models of care for EB, and presentations on the latest DEBRA International Clinical Practice Guidelines. There will also be research updates on topics of ocular manifestations, wound healing, occupational therapy, scarring, and stem cell therapies in EB. 

Speakers

Keynote Speaker:

• Professor Cristina Has, Head of the Genodermatosis Clinic, Department of Dermatology (Freiburg University, Germany): With over 20 years of clinical experience in general and paediatric dermatology, specialising in genodermatosis, Professor Cristina Has is an internationally recognised leader in Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). Globally renowned for research into the genetic and molecular basis of skin fragility disorders, Professor Has has advanced understanding of EB subtypes, impact, and therapies. Professor Has is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of DEBRA International, and has served as the first author on the latest consensus reclassification of inherited EB and DEBRA International’s Clinical Practice Guidelines.
