Have you found yourself using technology to fill time rather than as a tool or intentional activity?

While we all recognize that technology is a crucial part of our daily lives, for many of us, we find ourselves attached to our phones, screens, or watches unaware as to why we interacted with it in the first place. For many of us, this pattern has impacted our sense of connection, productivity, and creativity.

In this series, Psychology and Wellness counsellors will help you explore both the helpful and unhelpful aspects of your relationship with technology, its effects on attention, and how to develop awareness to assist with change. We’ll examine the brain’s reward system and the biological ties we may be forming with our devices.

By the end of this three-part series, we aim to help you identify practical changes that enhance your connections with others and offer new ways to interact with technology.

The sessions will focus on three key areas: social media, gaming, and connectedness. Each week's topic builds on the last, so we encourage you to attend all sessions if possible.

This in-person group is designed to be dynamic, interactive, and engaging. Registration is required, and we look forward to seeing you there!
