Self Care Circle. Creativity + relaxation at Wild Learning.
Event description
December Self Care Circle
You need a break, some time to let go of that breath you've been holding for the longest time. You need to feel heard, cared for, valued and connected. You want a bit of creativity, a bit of sparkle and joy and you want to spend time with lovely people.Â
You want some relaxation, but something easy and nourishing because meditation sometimes feels hard to focus on. You want self care that actually cares for you, not just a dismissive distraction that doesn't actually change anything. You want to learn self care strategies you can use in the real world and share and learn with others. You want to feel pampered and have a few hours to feel like yourself again.Â
You should come to our self care circle.
What it is:
A monthly experience. Come once or come regularly, you will be greeted as a friend and warmly welcomed!
Each circle gathering has three simple parts
1. a relaxation - Sit back and relax while I guide you through a visualisation. It's like having someone tell you a story and is designed to help you step out of day to day stress and into a peaceful part of your mind.Â
2. a ritual - each month we discuss and share ideas as we create a personalised action, like a little habit or reminder that you can use through out the month to revisit and practice self care.Â
3. a creative activity - sip on soothing herbal tea, listen to beautiful music, chat to new friends as you enjoy a mindful relaxing art activity.
Self care circle nights are about creativity, the feeling of community and putting self care into action. The space will be set up and decorated for deeply relaxing sensory experience too!
What this is and isn't:
A self care circle is not group therapy and not a space to talk through trauma - it is a beautiful way to connect with other people and share discussion about meaningful things and create a supportive space. Our focus is on creating moments of self care and a positive experience together.Â
it's not religious or spiritual - you are welcome to bring your own beliefs and values and weave them into your own experience and activities.
This is a safe space, everyone will be treated with warmth, respect and kindness and we ask everyone to show the same to others in the circle.Â
You need to bring:
- Nothing! Just yourself! Everything is provided
Suitable for:Â
-Adults and teenagers over 15
