Jazida Productions is thrilled to bring you the next edition of Decadence and Debauchery Canberra on 2 July at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre!

With long history and selling out venues and loud acclaimed in Canberra, Decadence and Debauchery is a Burlesque Variety Night that has been running for many years and has toured Australia wide!

Each show tours a new cast of internationally acclaimed headlining performers and an eclectic mix of artists sharing vintage striptease, circus/sideshow, fan dancing, live music, comedy and more!

Doors open at 7:30pm and show starts at 8:00pm at The Tuggeranong Arts Centre on 2 July 2022
Tickets are $33 each, or $55 for VIP (which gets you front row seating) 


This Show Features

Veruca Sour

With a style that is 90% face and 10% Germanic Nightmare Monster, Veruca has been described as “a Roald Dahl character brought to life” and is  known for her theatrical and comedic acts. A Dr Seuss villain with a shockingly elastic face, this burlesque potato will get the juice joint jumping with her madcap brand of exuberant and grotesque hijinkx.

Veruca Sour was crowned Miss Burlesque Western Australia in 2017, has performed in the Australian Burlesque Festival, won Best Local Talent at the International Cabaret Royalty Pageant and placed runner up in Burlesque Idol Perth. With an insatiable love for the Fringe World Festival, she also co-directed La Potato Cabaret in 2018 with Sugar Blue Burlesque.


Dale Woodbridge-Brown

Dale is a proud Kamilaroi man, from Mungindi. Performing professionally for close to a decade, he is currently the ringmaster with Circus Oz and his main skills include acrobatics, trapeze, baton twirling, and contemporary/ hip-hop dance.

He was awarded the NAIDOC performer of the 2019 and Indigenous circus performer 2021 by the Australian Circus Festival.

Dales career as an athlete began at a young age where as a teenager he won awards for gymnastics and baton twirling at state level. In his late teens Dale attended NAISDA (National Aboriginal Islander Skills Development Association) and ACPA (Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts) where he began his journey as a performance artist.  Since then Dale sports an impressive resume as ensemble member for international powerhouses Circus Oz, Briefs Factory and Casus Circus as well as holding his own as a formidable independent MC and artist.


Possum Galore

Possum Galore is a Canberra favourite who it... always a bit strange. This Neo-Burlesque Queen is the current title holder in Miss Burlesque ACT.

In 2013 Possum discovered the joy of stripping with Miss Kitka's House of Burlesque. Since then, Possum has gone on to win multiple awards and has spread her brand of crazy far and wide, not only performing in the Australian and New Zealand Burlesque festivals but also awarded "most comedic" at the Lake Como Burlesque Festival in Northern Italy.

So get your freak flag flying and be prepared, if you can, for Possum Galore the Feral Tease!!


Jazida

Jazida is the producer at Jazida Productions. She is the founder and teacher at Flazeda. She is an internationally acclaimed burlesque artist, being voted Number 32 in the 20th Century Burlesque Top 100 most influential burlesque industry figures. She won the Canberra Local Business Award for Outstanding Performing Arts. She won the Adelaide Fringe Festival weekly awards for Best Dance and she goes aight.

The Fabulous Fan Dancers

The Fabulous Fan Dancers are a professional troupe made up of a incredible independent solo performing artists in their own right. The troupe formed and has been performing together through various members, with many of the original group still together since 2015. The specialise in prop manipulation with feather fans and fan veils. Their professionalism, complex choreographies, utter joy performing together and fun has seen them tour Australia wide and also receive grant funding.
