December In-Person Circling in Seattle
Event description
What is Circling?
Circling is an intimate conversation about the social interactions and relationships as they unfold in the present moment.
Circling is based on connection, understanding, and authenticity.
Circling is a practice in which the attention of a small group is skillfully focused on an individual. This person gets to feel the effects of being seen and supported by others while also hearing the group’s in-the-moment feelings that arise.
It asks us to bring greater awareness and appreciation into our connections with others.
Circling could be considered a “relational meditation”.
Why practice Circling?
- To create and experience deep, intimate connections.
- To learn to relax into the present moment.
- To become more comfortable with who you are.
- To become more present with others.
- To create love, connection, intimacy, and community in your life and the world.
The event will begin with an introduction to Circling, so no prior experience with the practice is necessary to attend. All are welcome.
Please note that this event and Circling in general are social activities. Circling is not intended to be therapeutic, and it is not a substitute for psychotherapy or other professional support.
This will be a small event with a maximum of seven attendees.
It will be held in a studio in central Fremont. The studio is up one flight of stairs and is not ADA accessible.
