DECOLONISE: Pride 2020
Event description
We’re Bla(c)k, we’re Queer and we’re still HERE!
Boorloo Justice is excited to announce DECOLONISE: Pride 2020
Celebrate in decolonised extravagance as we reclaim Pride! 🖤💛❤️💙💚💜
The stage will be graced by an ALL QUEER, ALL BLA(C)K & BROWN line-up of killer performers, drag queens and DJs because ✨REPRESENTATION MATTERS✨
A lot of our mob (inclusive of Bla(c)k & POC folk) don’t feel safe at Pride events and the established queer spaces around Boorloo (Perth). This is an event for community BY community to celebrate queerness and culture collectively!
By taking up space, this event pays homage to the queer Bla(c)k & POC icons that have paved the way of the Pride movement.
🌈 Allies welcome ~ so grab your tiddas, buddas, aunties, uncles & cousins and come celebrate Pride 2020 with us 🌈

This is a safe space. Boorloo Justice and Barbes has a no tolerance policy for anti-social or non-consensual behaviour. If you uncomfortable in any way, please let one of us know ❤
This event is being held on the unceded sovereign lands of the Whadjuk people of the Bibbulmun Nation. We acknowledge and give our respect to their elders past and present, who are important storytellers, keepers of knowledge, and cultural custodians of all of us who live in this place. And we extend solidarity and friendship and hope for a future where all are afforded justice, dignity, and peace. Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
🖤💛❤️💙💚💜
