Event description
It’s been a long time coming - the release of our documentary DECULT VOICES: BEYOND BELIEF at a night of advocacy, connection, fundraising and fun. The 20-minute doco, filmed during the Decult 2024 conference at Tūranga library, weaves together raw, unscripted insights from over 20 local and international speakers – survivors, mental health professionals, human rights advocates, experts and policymakers. Eight special guests – from the Olive Leaf Network, Gloriavale Leavers’ Support Trust, FACT Aotearoa, NZ Skeptics, Decult Collective and the Centrepoint Restoration Project – will be joining us for a recap and korero at this community networking event.
It doubles as a fundraiser for our fledgling charity. We will have cult books, t-shirts, artwork (worth $3,000 in total), hospitality vouchers and show tickets to give away – and a ticket for the Decult 2026 conference!
Child Sister, Christchurch’s famous inner-city café, will kindly open its doors for us and offer delicious European Korean fusion food plus drinks from the fully licensed bar. More info about our prizes and special guests on our social media and in our newsletter. Don’t miss out on a great night with other decultivists and support a good cause.
Doors open at 6 pm (kitchen closes at 8 pm)
Film starts at 7 pm
