Ripple Surf Coast is excited to feature and host Rip Curl for its first DEEP DIVE event.

The deep dive event will journey into the story of this quintessential lifestyle business and its search not only for waves around the world, but also its community and environmental impact culminating in its recent B Corporation certification.

Founded 1969 in the now iconic surf destination, the deep dive will take place where it all began in Torquay. This immersive and engaging event will take the audience on a journey into Rip Curl's story of impact and B Corp certification. We'll hear from the Rip Curl team and advocates as they share their experiences, challenges and insights. B Lab ANZ (B Corporation) will also be in attendance to share the process of B Corp certification and what it means to be a business as a force for good.

Following the Rip Curl deep dive, guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and connect with other local businesses.

Snacks and refreshments provided by great local impact businesses from the Surf Coast.

Featured Organisations

RIP CURL was founded in Torquay in 1969 and has developed into one of the world's most recognised and respected brands.

Rip Curl strives to be more than just a company – it's a community built around The Search. The Search has been the driving force behind Rip Curl's inception and remains at the core of everything we do. It's what makes Rip Curl unique and defines who we are. The products we make, the events we run, the athletes we support and the people we reach globally, are all a part of that Search that Rip Curl is on.

We are excited to be certified B Corporation (B Corp) on our journey to be The Ultimate Surfing Company. We strive to achieve this by balancing business, with a deep commitment to our impact on people, the planet, and the community, leaving a positive legacy for future generations of surfers and communities alike.

B LAB is the not for profit network transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities and the planet.

We began in 2006 with the idea that a different kind of economy was not only possible, but necessary — and that business could lead the way towards a new, stakeholder-driven model. B Lab became known for certifying B Corps: companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

But we do much more than that. We’re building the B Corp movement to change our economic system — and to do so, we must change the rules of the game. B Lab creates standards, policies, tools, and programs that shift the behaviour, culture, and structural underpinnings of capitalism. We mobilise the B Corp community towards collective action to address society’s most critical challenges.
