DEEP REST IMMERSION 

A weekend immersion into the art, science and practice of Restorative Yoga and Deep Rest. 

For yoga teachers and lovers, healers, therapists, school teachers and anyone who craves more softness in a Rest-less world. 

For this immersion we are focusing on three specific areas:

Cocooning: Softening and Grounding Restorative Yoga Practices and Postures

Unfurling: Softening and Expansive Restorative Yoga Practices and Postures 

Plus: intuitive sequencing, theming and space holding 

We will explore deeply how Restorative Yoga is an incredibly healing practice for our time, and how doing less allows us to be and to offer so much more. There truly is no greater gift to your students, your family, your clients and yourself than the ability to guide our tired souls back home into a state of deep rest.

SATURDAY

11am - 12pm 

Welcome Circle & Morning Breath & Meditation Practice 

12pm - 1pm 

Lecture: The Energetics of Deep Rest

1 - 2pm

2 - 4pm

Restorative Yoga Posture Lab: Cocooning. Postures to soften, soothe and ground. Exploring the postures in which the body and energy draws down and inwards for deep replenishment and restoration. 

4:30 - 6:00pm

Morning Deep Rest Breath & Meditation Practice 

11:30am - 1pm 

Restorative Yoga Posture Lab: Unfurling. Postures to soften, open and expand. Here we explore Restorative heart openers and subtle inversions to softly encourage the body to release, make space and receive.

About your facilitator: Emmie Rae put Restorative Yoga on the map in the Sydney yoga scene back in 2015, introducing the practice to studios across the city, becoming one of the first teachers to make a full time job of teaching practices quiet and soft. 

Emmie has facilitated Restorative Yoga Trainings, Immersive’s and Retreats and is currently bringing moments of stillness and Deep Rest practices to women all over the world via her online membership platform, The Daily Rest. 

If anything, Emmie’s career and practice is a testament to how much we can grow, when we give ourselves permission to go slow. 

\Having studied closely with Judith Lasater (the woman who wrote the book on Restorative Yoga) as well as assisting her daughter Lizzie on trainings in Australia, this is an opportunity to learn from someone who knows the business and practice of rest from the inside out. 

This immersion is for anyone who feels called to join it. If you are new to the practice of Restorative Yoga, we do recommend reading the course materials before the immersion commences, and taking Restorative Yoga classes either in person or online before we meet. 

Before the immersion commences you will be sent resources on the history and background of Restorative Yoga.
