Dan has spent 25 years at the frontier of technology. Most recently VP of AI & Data at Headspace, he has also served as Engineering Director at Apple, Head of Data at YouTube, Lead Data Scientist for Google Maps, Senior Director of Data Science & Engineering at Meta, and Senior Director of Data Science at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

He received Dharma transmission in the Soto Zen lineage, chairs the Board of Trustees at San Francisco Zen Center, teaches at Esalen Institute, leads retreats at Tassajara Zen Mountain Center, and serves as a trustee of Naropa University. Named to WIRED's "20 Business Geniuses You Need to Know Now," Dan is the author of Buddha's Office and Buddha's Diet, and a contributing editor at Tricycle: The Buddhist Review.
