DEER MANAGEMENT INFORMATION DAY

Are deer a problem on your land? Do they eat your pasture and vegetation as well as damage your fencing? Do you want to know what you can do to control them on your property?

Come along to our deer management information day where you will learn how to tackle the problem of deer. Hear from deer management professionals and local landholders all about:

~Deer occurrence in North East Victoria 

~Deer behaviour and their impacts on the land

~Understand current control programs and the legal status of deer and implications for hunters and landowners

~What has/needs to be done

~Learn about the current tools and options available for deer management

~ Meet people who can help manage deer on your property

Enjoy a BBQ lunch following the event with the option to sample some venison!

WHERE: Upper Gundowring Hall, between 2703 and 2713 Gundowring Rd. 

WHEN: Thursday, 23rd May 10am-1pm. 

  •  Lunch will be provided
  • Physical Fitness level required: EASY ( Sitting/for a periods of 2 hours or more required)

  • WHAT TO BRING:

    -Notepad, pen and a water bottle.

    -Please wear weather appropriate clothing, bring sun protection, and a raincoat or umbrella in case of showers.

    -If you are unwell on the day please remain at home in consideration of the health of others

    Due to our limited funding it is difficult to cater for every dietary requirement at our events. If you have special dietary requirements please bring your own food and drink.
