Defence Futures - Global Strategic Trends 7 (GST7) Launch and Futures Workshop

The National Security College's Futures Hub will be hosting a special event in conjunction with the United Kingdom’s High Commission to Australia, the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence Defence Futures team and Australia’s Department of Defence, to launch the flagship Defence Futures Global Strategic Trends 7 (GST7) publication.

The GST is a UK Ministry of Defence publication that seeks to improve foresight and encourage better strategic choices to shape the future. The GST 7 – looking out to 2055 is the latest iteration of this longstanding futures process.

On their Indo-Pacific tour to launch the GST7, Futures Hub are fortunate enough to have the Defence Futures team in Canberra. 

The event will take place in two parts: the first will be a presentation and Q and A session on the GST7. The second, will be a detailed futures workshop which will tackle some challenging alternative future scenarios, focused on Australia. You can choose to attend either the presentation or the presentation and accompanying workshop though places are limited.
