Defend Our NDIS: National Day of Action Community Event

This month, Ability Options is collaborating with fellow organisations to host an important event in Sydney. With the federal election approaching, 'Every Australian Counts' are launching a new campaign, Defend Our NDIS, with a ‘National Day of Action’.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has been revolutionary for people living with disabilities, facilitating inclusion and improving outcomes for people with disability and their families. But the NDIS is at a crossroads - help us to ensure the NDIS isn’t forgotten about on election day.

On Thursday 28th April, there will be Defend the NDIS events all over Australia - bringing disability advocates and allies together to put the NDIS front and centre in this year’s Federal Election.

Our Sydney event will feature a panel of noteworthy speakers, a free sausage sizzle, fun activities and giveaways. Most importantly, it's a chance for people in our community to connect and share their experiences of the NDIS.

Let’s show our local Members of Parliament and community how much the NDIS means to us!
