It’s time to share some of the wonderful savoury recipes for pickles, chutneys and relishes that people have been enjoying from our garden gate stand this year.
We'll have a fun afternoon making a series of three different savoury items. A pickle, a relish and a chutney (or an Achar).
I'll guide you through the process of converting full-of-flavour fresh vegetables that you may be growing at home, that you may have been gifted, or perhaps purchase cheaply at the local market, into truly wonderful jars of deliciousness.
These condiments will be family favourites on sandwiches... (think gooey cheese toasties with relish for a flavour hit), as an accompaniment to curries and tagines; and even served on summer platters or with roasts, grills and more.
You’ll take home some jars of each of the recipes we make and you'll enjoy a scrumptious afternoon tea that highlights the ways you can enjoy those same pickles etc.
For this small class group of just 6 people, you will just need to bring an apron and a biro and plenty of room in your tummy for afternoon tea and tastings.
