What do Jim Moginie, Steve Pigram, Kylie Auldist, Mick Thomas, Freya Josephine Hollick, Brian Ritchie, Richard Tognetti, Tim Rogers, Lucy Durack, Nick Seymour, Monique Brumby and Mark Atkins all have in common?

DELSINKI has joined , or initiated, creative projects with them all, focusing on original songs and ideas. 

Shape-shifting post colonialist DELSINKI is gaining momentum as an artist, writer, and creative force in his own right. His third album titled '#3' released this year followed 2022's "City/Country" and 2018’s “And There Was Found, No Place For Them”.

Album #3 reflects Delsinki's experiences, mixing with other songwriters and getting to the heart of a song. A musical and social bowerbird, Delsinki's stylistic approach contains traces of Tim Winton and John Brack alongside his musical influences, giving him a unique artistic vision of contemporary Australian life.

In the last couple years he has produced SING A SONG OF SIXPENCE – a public live music series of “in the round” shows with Australian singer songwriters talking about song writing and playing theirs, and others,  songs. Part entertainment, part workshop. Both projects have seen Delsinki step out from his role as headliner, as well as sideman for Brooke Taylor in her Poison Spitting Gin Queens – and Row Jerry Crow – into a more central producer / creative role focused around songwriting and songwriters. This is an ongoing project. 

Like some sort of city-bound bush poet, Delsinki sings of his environment - from carbon monoxide and asphalt plains to lockdowns and the dream of escape - and he feels the ever present lure of nature. He would seek to rewild the city, but also sees the evolving urban impact on regional areas. His songwriting projects like Sixpence have taken him across regional Victoria to bring songwriting to the outskirts and the inbetween. 

PAST FESTIVALS INCLUDE: Gympie Music Muster, St Kilda Festival, The Port Fairy Folk Festival (KTCU), The Taste Of Tasmania, Healesville Music Festival, Dimboola Steampunk Festival.
