Learning Vedic Chanting is open to all. Students of chanting come from a variety of backgrounds, people without yoga experience, yoga students and teachers. Anyone can benefit from the healing sound of Vedic mantras.
Chanting classes are conducted seated, either on the floor or on a chair. It is important to feel comfortable so that you are able to focus only on the mantra.
All chants will be taught through a “call and response” methodology, using the aid of chant texts.
The basic rules of chanting, along with meanings of chants will be explained.
Some of the chants that we will be learning are: Pañcamaya ślokaḥ- Āyurmantraḥ-Laghunyāsaḥ-Gāyatrī mantraḥ (samhitā, krama, jaṭa, ghana)- Candranamaskṛtya mantraḥ and many more.
