DenverFright: Mile High Fears Edition

What keeps Denverites up at night? Another rent hike? Blucifer coming to life? Or the creeping suspicion that those DIA tunnels really do lead somewhere? This October, Denverite’s annual evening of eerie, delightful and distinctly local storytelling returns with a new theme: Denver’s worst fears.

Denverite staff, alongside special guests, will explore the nightmares only this city could inspire. We’ll confront climate-related fears, consult Denver’s astrological chart to see what might be written in the stars and take a revealing look inside Denver cemeteries, where the city’s past isn’t always dead and buried.

Expect true stories, true-ish tales, local lore and plenty of altitude-addled imagination. Some stories may chill you. Some may make you laugh. Others may leave you looking twice at the blue bear on your drive home. Every story will reveal something about the city we love, the city we complain about and the uniquely Denver fears we share.

Come for the frights. Stay for Denver at its weirdest.
