DESCEND

A Parent + Child Embodied Experience

Movement • Emotions • Creativity • Intuition • Connection • Play

What if your child was given the space to explore not only the world around them — but the vast universe that exists within them?

Their emotions.
Their body.
Their intuition.
Their creativity.
Their expression.
Their inner wisdom.

DESCEND is an embodied experience for children aged 4+ and their parents to step out of the thinking mind and explore their inner worlds — together.

Through somatic movement, dance, breath, mindfulness, emotional exploration, creativity and play, children begin developing a deeper awareness of themselves while parents are invited into the experience alongside them.

This isn't about performance.

It's about depth and presence.

WHAT WILL YOUR CHILD EXPERIENCE?

DESCEND gives children something we don't always have the space to teach:

How to know themselves, deeply.

Through playful, movement, age-appropriate embodied experiences, children are invited to explore:

✦ Emotional intelligence — recognising, feeling and expressing emotions

✦ Body awareness — noticing sensations and beginning to understand what their body communicates

✦ Self-expression — experiencing the freedom to move, create, speak and express themselves without needing to perform

✦ Intuition & self-trust — becoming curious about their inner voice and what feels true for them

✦ Nervous system awareness — discovering simple ways to slow down, ground and reconnect with their body

✦ Confidence — experiencing that who they are and what they feel has value

✦ Connection — being seen, heard and experienced more deeply by their parent

Your child doesn't need to sit perfectly still.

They don't need to "get it right."

They don't need to be confident, spiritual or experienced in mindfulness.

They simply get to explore, and be all of them ~ unapolgetically.

AND WHAT WILL YOU EXPERIENCE AS THEIR PARENT?

You're not dropping your child at a class.

You're coming with them.

DESCEND gives you an opportunity to step outside the everyday parent-child dynamic and experience one another differently.

To slow down enough to really see your child.

To notice what's happening underneath their behaviour.

To become curious about your own emotional responses and protective patterns.

To practise being with emotion rather than immediately trying to fix it.

To play.

To move.

To express.

To connect.

And to create experiences together where your child feels:

I can be all of me with you.

My emotions are welcome and safe here.

You want to know my inner world.

I am seen.

I am heard.

I am loved as I am.

This is about creating deep safety and presence as your child explores their inner world.

As your child explores themselves, you may discover more of yourself too.

WHAT HAPPENS AT DESCEND?

No two DESCEND experiences will be exactly the same.

Each gathering has an intention and framework, while allowing space for the energy and needs of the group to guide the experience.

Your session may weave together:

Somatic Movement
Learning to notice, move and express what is happening within the body.

Creative Exploration + Dance
Music, intuitive movement, imagination and playful self-expression.

Breathwork + Mindfulness
Simple, child-friendly practices that bring awareness back into the present moment.

Emotional Exploration
Developing language and awareness around feelings, sensations and inner experiences.

Energetic Teachings
Exploring intuition, energy, inner awareness and connection in an accessible way.

Connection Practices
Parent-child exercises, games and experiences designed to create presence, vulnerability and deeper connection.

There may be laughter.

There may be movement.

There may be stillness.

There may be big feelings.

There may be moments where your child watches rather than participates.

All of it is welcome.

THIS ISN'T ABOUT PERFORMANCE.

It's about presence.

DESCEND isn't another space where your child needs to behave a certain way, achieve something or prove that they've learned the lesson.

We are creating space for something different.

A child who feels safe enough to feel.

Safe enough to express.

Safe enough to be curious.

Safe enough to listen inward.

Safe enough to be seen.

And a parent willing to meet them there.

Because sometimes deeper connection doesn't come from finding the perfect words.

It comes from being willing to experience one another.

EXPLORE THE VAST UNIVERSE WITHIN YOUR INNER WORLD

We teach our children so much about the world outside of them.

DESCEND invites them to discover the world within them.

Their emotions.

Their sensations.

Their creativity.

Their intuition.

Their boundaries.

Their expression.

Their inner wisdom.

And perhaps one of the greatest gifts we can give a child isn't telling them who to become —

but creating enough safety for them to discover who they already are.

GUIDED BY KAILAH KING

DESCEND is created and facilitated by Kailah King, whose work explores embodied emotional intelligence, somatic intelligence, nervous system awareness, trauma-informed practice and conscious connection.

Each session is intentionally guided while remaining responsive to the children, parents and collective experience in the room.

Rather than forcing the group through a rigid program, there is space to respond, adapt, play and follow what is emerging.

WHO IS DESCEND FOR?

Children aged 4+ and their parent.

DESCEND is for families drawn to emotional intelligence, creativity, movement, mindfulness, self-expression, conscious parenting and deeper parent-child connection.

You do not need to homeschool to participate in DESCEND.

This particular program is being offered during school hours and is therefore especially accessible to homeschooling families.

Future DESCEND experiences will also be offered during school holidays and other times accessible to school-aged children and their families.

COME AS YOU ARE.

You don't need to prepare your child.

You don't need to know anything about somatics.

And neither of you needs to be anything other than who you are when you walk through the door.

Come move.

Come play.

Come feel.

Come explore.

Come experience your child — and yourself — from somewhere deeper.

DESCEND

Out of the mind. Into the body. Into your inner world.

Explore the vast universe within your inner world.

With the deepest love,

Kailah xx
