Design and Color Theory
Event description
A Six Week Studio Class. Design will concentrate on the Elements and Principles of Composition, and Color Theory will concentrate on the Properties of Color. Exercises and practical applications will be explored, resulting in an understanding of how design and color work hand in hand to enhance compositional skills. 3-4 finished compositions will be accomplished. This class precedes Watercolor Collage Studio, offered in the second session after KCAI Spring Break.
Days: Mondays, February 3 - March 10, 2025

Location: Lower Epperson Bldg., room EA B101
Instructor: Lynn Richardson is a working artist and an Instructor in the Art Departments of Park University and Metropolitan CC, spanning the last 25 years of her working career. Lynn's first career was as an International Flight Attendant, taking her all over the world. She holds an undergraduate degree in Art from UMKC, Art Certification k-12 from Avila University, and a Masters from Baker University.

Parking: Parking is available in any of the (NON-RESERVED) KCAI parking lot spaces across campus. There is also available street parking surrounding KCAI campus.
Refund: Registered participants can receive refunds to the original payment method (Studio Fee minus Humanitix Fee) up to 7 days before the first class.
