Designing Spaces for Humans: How built environments shape care, counsel and community confidence

July’s Design + Innovation Meetup is exploring the process and role of design in shaping spaces that build trust, support wellbeing and enhance the client experience.

We’re delighted to welcome Colette McCartney and Michael Carter from Wingates, who will share the thinking, process and design decisions behind a selection of projects created for people-focused industries, as well as some of their own journeys. They’ll explore how thoughtfully designed environments can foster confidence, professionalism, and a strong sense of care, using local examples.

This is a unique opportunity to deep dive into the architectural and interior design process, from initial concept development through to project delivery, offering valuable insights into both how design can shape the way people experience a place, and how considering people’s experience can shape the design of places and spaces.

This promises to be a great session with relevance to all of us, with plenty of opportunity for Q&A and discussion. And, as ever, a great chance to connect with like-minded folks from around Tauranga and the Western Bay.
