Djilang the Wadawurrung name for Geelong translates to ‘Tongue of Land” For thousands of generations prior to colonisation this area was a maruda or common ground where it was unlawful to harm others. Join a walk with Corrina Eccles, Wadawurrung Woman and Cultural Strengthening General Manager of Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation for a walk around Central Djlang to look at ways Wadawurrung Culture has been embedded into the urban environment and to learn more about the Wadawurrung aspirations for Wadawurrung Country.
