Designing for a Circular Future

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join us for a panel discussion and morning tea and explore what a circular economy future will look like and how we will get there.

This hybrid event will be held at the Peter Baume Building, a perfect venue for creative minds to come together and design for the future. How will waste streams be designed out and critical resources kept in closed-loop systems in future and how can researchers, industry and governments work together to make the change? Where will the capital investment come from to support this economy-wide transformation? What kinds of technologies are under development and how will they make it out of the lab and into society?

Make new connections in the local region and join us on the journey to a circular economy.

Panel members:

Keynote and panellist: Dr Heinz Schandl, CSIRO, Lead, Circular Economy for Missions Initiative
Panellist: Professor Penny Brothers, Director, Research School of Chemistry, Australian National University
Panellist: Nupur Khanna, Sustainability and Resource Recovery Coordinator, Icon Water
Panellist: Professor Owen Atkin, Director of Centre for Entrepreneurial Agri-Technology
