Virtual Design Thinking Challenge for University Students
Event description
University students in Sydney are invited to join us for a one day virtual design-thinking challenge hosted by Macquarie Group and facilitated by social enterprise Young Change Agents.
This is your chance to have input into the development of Martin Place into a place that is vibrant and creative and a safe place for young people. It is an opportunity to develop design-thinking skills applied to a real world challenge. You will also have the opportunity to connect with mentors from Macquarie Group.
The Challenge
How might we make the new Martin Place a connected, vibrant, creative and safe place for young people?
This event is limited to just 40 students. Students are encouraged to come as individuals on in groups of up to five students.
This one-day design challenge would suit students from various degrees including business, design, architecture, engineering, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Agenda
9am: Students login to the virtual challenge platform
9:10am: Introduction to the challenge and warm-up activities
10:30am: Empathy interviews and problem definition
11:30am: Ideation and validation
2pm: Lunch Break
2:30pm: Prototyping
4pm: Students submit recorded pitches

- There is no cost to participate in this event
- Due to the limited places of this workshop, please register your interest ASAP
