You do not need to print a ticket. Keep a copy of your confirmation email, as you may be asked to show it at the event. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your order so we can ensure your place is offered to someone else. To cancel your order, click Manage Order in your confirmation email then select Refund/Cancel.

Please make sure you have checked the list of accepted items.

For safety reasons, the following items require pre-approval before they can be accepted at an event.

Heating oil (from old household heater oil tanks)
Heavy metals (including mercury thermostats, thermometers)
Helium gas canisters
Propane gas cylinders (including Tradeflame)

For pre-approval, contact us on 1300 135 410 and provide the following information:

the amount (in litres or kg) or number of items,
the Detox Your Home event you plan to attend,
a clear photo of the item so our team can know what to expect.

What to expect

Before you arrive

Detox Your Home is for household chemicals only. Business waste is not accepted.

Pack safely:

Place items in the empty boot of your car or on your vehicle tray.

Keep items in their original packaging or disposable containers – we cannot transfer chemicals into other containers, and containers will not be returned. Empty boxes, crates or trays used for transporting chemicals in your vehicle can be returned to you.

Clearly label all items. If you’re unsure what’s inside, write ‘unknown’.

Size limits apply: each container must be no more than 20 litres or 20 kilograms. This helps keep our staff safe when lifting and handling items.

On the day

You can arrive at any time within your booked hour.

Follow signage and staff directions when you arrive. It may take up to 10 minutes to service each car, and up to 15 minutes at busy events.

You will be asked to complete a short survey when you arrive. Please let staff know if you have unknown chemicals or broken containers for collection.

Stay in your car – our trained staff and qualified chemists will unload items for you.

Once the collection has been completed, follow signage and staff directions to the site exit.

If you need to attend on foot or by public/alternative transport

Contact us before the event on 1300 135 410 so we can let staff know to expect you. We can also provide advice on how to safely transport your items.

When you arrive, event staff will greet you at the entrance. You will be asked to complete a short survey before your items are collected. For your safety, please do not enter the site until you have spoken with event staff and follow staff directions at all times.

After the event

We will email you after the event with a short survey about your experience. Your feedback will help us review and improve the Detox Your Home service.
