    WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
    Australian classrooms are diverse. ACARA’s CASE Model for Personalised Learning provides teachers with a practical approach for planning for this diversity.

    Dr Matt Capp’s workshop will assist teachers to achieve this by:

    • deconstructing the chronological age/year level Content Descriptions;
    • identifying universally designed pedagogical strategies to address the strengths and functional impacts of an entire classroom;
    • identifying adjustments to address the strengths and functional impacts of students with disability and diverse learning needs;
    • deconstructing the chronological age/year level Achievement Standards and targeted Achievement Standards of a different year level, and applying everything to the Explicit Instruction Model.

    During the workshop participants will explore how to practically implement the CASE Model within their classrooms. At the end of the workshop, participants will walk away with a series of lessons, based on the Explicit Instruction Model, which include Australian Curriculum Content Descriptors and Achievement Standards, targeted strategies aligned to the needs of their entire classroom, and adjustments for students with disability and diverse learning needs.
