A frame drum is a drum that has a drumhead width greater than its depth, that is held by the hands or rested on the lap.  The frame drum is one of the most ancient musical instruments, and was first seen played by women in cultures worldwide, during ceremony, sacred practices, and as a means of powerful connection.

We will gather in circle, on the Sunshine Coast, on Friday the 13th of May, (venue to be announced).
You will learn different playing techniques, rhythms from around the world, a variety of songs and chants, and there might even be some dancing!

No musical knowledge, or previous drumming experience necessary. Just a beating heart...

Please bring a frame drum, if you have one. Or borrow one of mine.
