Devising Physical Theatre

In this four-day performing arts workshop, Red Leap Theatre’s Artistic Director Ella Becroft will be guiding a deep exploration into devising theatre techniques.

Red Leap is a devising theatre company, dedicated to innovating theatrical form through the intersection of dynamic physicality, arresting imagery, and inventive original storytelling. Red Leap strongly believe in the strength of collaboration to celebrate the power of the imagination.

Open to performers both new to devising, and those interested in adding to their devising toolkit, this will be a practical, highly physical workshop where we explore a variety of devising techniques that can be used when approaching a source material. Through the creation of a strong ensemble, we will explore a visual and physical approach to storytelling, through movement, object manipulation and the integration of design.
