Join us for a hands-on grooming workshop focused on prep work and stacking techniques to help you get the most out of your groom and present your work with confidence.

Watch an expert demonstration before getting the opportunity to put the techniques into practice yourself.
The prep session will cover practical techniques, tips and tricks to help improve your preparation and set your dog up for a better finish.
Participant spaces are limited to just 5 groomers, giving each participant the opportunity to work hands-on with their own dog under guidance.
Spectators are also welcome to attend and watch the demonstration and participant session.
Please note: Participation in this workshop is an $20 add on - please don’t forget to purchase a spectator ticket. Only DGA members are eligible to participate in the hands-on component. Participants must bring their own suitable dog.
🐩 STACK WORKSHOP
Hosted by Sarah Griffiths
Learn more about stacking and presentation, including how to position and present your dog to best showcase your grooming work.
This session will include demonstrations, tips and practical guidance that you can take back to the salon and incorporate into your everyday grooming.
The Stack session is spectator-only, so grab a seat, bring your questions and watch the techniques being demonstrated.

This workshop is designed for groomers of all experience levels, whether you’re looking to refine your existing skills, pick up some new techniques or simply spend the day learning alongside fellow groomers.
Places are limited, so bookings are essential.
DGA members receive discounted entry, with hands-on participation available exclusively to members.

- Are these workshops suitable for beginners?
Yes. The workshop is suitable for groomers at different stages of their careers. Whether you’re newer to grooming or looking to refine your existing techniques, there should be plenty to take away.
- How many participant spots are available?
There are only 5 hands-on participant spots available for the Prep session. These are limited to ensure each participant gets meaningful guidance during the workshop.
- Can non-members attend the workshop?
Yes! Non-members are welcome to attend as spectators, but only current DGA members can purchase a participant ticket for the hands-on Prep session.
- Do I need to bring a dog?
If you have purchased a Prep Participant ticket, you will need to bring your own suitable dog to work on. Spectators do not need to bring a dog.
- Will there be food and drink available?
Yes light refreshments will be provided!

Prep for finish - hosted by Sarah Mischa Huang
Join Sarah as she demonstrates how to correctly prepare a coat for the perfect finish. Whether you’re aiming for success in the competition ring or simply looking to elevate the quality of your everyday salon grooms, it all starts in the bathing and preparation process. Sarah will cover the techniques and attention to detail that create the foundation for exceptional grooming results. Five participant spots are available, giving attendees the opportunity to work hands-on with their own dog under the host's guidance. Purchase a spectator ticket to attend and learn throughout the session.
