The University of Otago is conducting a study to help people with type 1 diabetes access an automated insulin delivery (AID) system and determine suitability for remote education and follow-up.

As part of this process, Diabetes NZ will facilitate one hour educational sessions with industry representatives to explain the available products. This ensures that anyone interested in participating in the study understands the options and can choose the device that best meets their needs.

Devices covered will include: Tandem T:Slim x2, mylife YpsoPump with CamAPS FX, Dexcom products and Libre 3+.

If you have additional queries after registering, specific to the four devices covered, please email youth@diabetes.org.nz by 9am Wednesday 19 November to allow time for your questions to be compiled and referred to the appropriate industry representative. ~~Registrations close 5pm Tuesday 18 November. After you have attended the educational session and you have decided which device suits you best, you can email the study team at access.aid@otago.ac.nz to self-refer.

Cameras may be turned off if you prefer to maintain privacy, and we encourage you to review your display name settings accordingly. Questions may be submitted via the chat function; these will be compiled and responses shared following the event. A reminder of these guidelines will be provided at the start of the session.
