Diabetes NZ Nelson Youth: Marlborough Whānau Swim for Diabetes Action Month 2025!
Event description
Join Diabetes NZ Nelson Youth for an afternoon at Stadium 2000 in Blenheim.
This family-friendly event is a chance for young people living with diabetes and their whānau to connect, enjoy the pool together, and contribute to our nationwide One Million Minutes of Movement challenge. (Note: this is a public pool session — we’ll be enjoying the space alongside others.)
Come along earlier to support the Blenheim Lions Club “Lap the Map” walk for diabetes awareness — a great way to add even more minutes. Meet at 9am at Raupo Cafe and enjoy a leisurely walk along the Taylor River Reserve.
Registrations (for the swim) are essential and close Thursday, 13 November.
To register or find out more, please contact amanda@diabetes.org.nz.
Bring along:
Togs and towel
Water bottle
Diabetes supplies
Afternoon snack
Please note:
Children 5yrs old and under require an adult swimming with them and to remain within arms reach at all times
Children 9yrs old and under must be actively supervised at all times (watching and able to provide immediate assistance if required)
This is all about spending time together, staying active, and being part of something bigger this Diabetes Action Month.
