DIAM EISTEDFODD 1ST EDITION
Event description
Welcome to the first edition of DIAM Eistedfodd. Eistedfodd is a usually Welsh competitive festival of the arts especially in poetry and singing. In Australia this term has been used to define artistic competitions with prizes.
DIAM would like to encourage artistic craft and discipline within the students by inviting them to participate in this musical competition which will be divided into instruments:
(Sat 11 Nov) Piano, Classical Guitar, Singing,
(Sunday 12 Nov) Woodwind/Brass, Strings and Music Ensembles
Each instrument will be divided into levels: (Preliminary- Grade 3) (Grade 4- Grade 7) min 3 students per category
Each instrument and band will have an adjudicator, an experienced and accomplished performer/pedagogue to guarantee objectivity in the awarding. Each student will get a certificate award regardless of their result.
PRIZES: $100 WINNER IN EACH INSTRUMENT/LEVEL
REQUIREMENTS: Each student has to perform 2 contrasting pieces.
The students will be assessed on their joy, technique, expression and posture.
