DIAM ORCHESTRAL CONCERT 2023
Event description
Diam Orchestral Concert is where all DIAM/LLV students including those members of rock bands, Addams Family , Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Bands, Guitar and Strings Ensemble Programs, get the opportunity to perform with the DIAM Orchestral Ensemble (a professional string quartet and winds ensemble this year including a bigger orchestra with advanced students)
It is a wonderful opportunity for the students to experience orchestral music performance first hand and raise up to the incredible and rewarding musical challenge. In order to not have very long concerts, the concert will be divided into 2 up to 5 separate performances concert depending on demand.
The event will have a rehearsal on the same day previous to each concert at Lindfield Learning Village. Each student will be given his/her allocated spot during those hours to rehearse (3 mins-5mins per song/piece).
THE ADDAMS FAMILY CAST, ALL BANDS AND ENSEMBLES WILL HAVE A DRESS REHEARSAL ON SATURDAY 9 SEPT AT LLV GREENHALGH THEATRE.****
The concert will be divided into 2, 3 or 4 or 5 separate mini- concerts that will take place on the day from 12:00pm-18:00pm at Lindfield Learning Village Greenhalgh Theatre. Each student/band/ensemble is expected to perform at only one concert.
The following would be an example of the potential timetable .These are the approximate potential times for each concert:
Concert 1: 12:00pm-1:15pm ADDAMS FAMILY CAST, ADVANCED BANDS, LLV VOCAL ENSEMBLE
Concert 2: 1:30pm-2:45pm ROCK BANDS AND GUITAR ENSEMBLE (including rehearsal for soloists and small groups)
Concert 3: 3:00pm-4:15 SOLOISTS AND SMALL ENSEMBLES (including rehearsal for soloists and small groups)
Concert 4: 4:30 -5:45pm BEGINNER AND INTERMEDIATE BANDS, SOLOISTS AND SMALL ENSEMBLES (including rehearsal for soloists and small groups)
