Description

Downtown Minneapolis is home to a growing number of residents, and the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District (DID) is exploring a Residential Improvement District that would bring DID services to residential properties within the downtown district.

Join downtown property owners and managers to learn about the proposal, review feedback from downtown residents, and connect with other property owners.

Attendees will:

  • Learn about the proposed Residential Improvement District

  • Review highlights from the operating plan and budget

  • Connect with downtown property owners and managers

Food and refreshments will be provided.

What is the Downtown Improvement District (DID)?

The DID is a special service district that funds enhanced downtown services, including Ambassador safety and hospitality teams, sidewalk and public-space cleaning, beautification, and placemaking activities that help keep downtown Minneapolis clean, welcoming, and vibrant.

300+ downtown residents completed a recent survey, identifying safety, cleanliness, public spaces, community events, and resident engagement as top priorities.

The next step is gathering signatures from downtown property owners before the proposal can be considered by the Minneapolis City Council. Learn more.
