Celebrating 30 Years of the Dieback Working Group

DIG 2026 marks a special occasion: 30 years since the founding of DWG in 1996 by Dr Ian Colquhoun. This year's conference will celebrate this milestone, reflect on our progress, share new knowledge, and continue driving best-practice behaviour and policy change.

For three decades, DWG has worked to increase awareness and improve the management of Phytophthora Dieback and other biosecurity threats to our natural ecosystems. DWG has grown into a nationally recognised not-for-profit and charity organisation with diverse membership and strong outreach across industry, government, science and community sectors.

CONFERENCE DAY - Wednesday 9th September

Venue: Boola Katitjin Building, Murdoch University

The Conference Day will feature:

• Updates on research, tools, and best-practice management

• Reflections on 30 years of progress and collaboration

• Innovations in the dieback management space
