Digital Calligraphy for Beginners

Calligraphy is the art of applying pressure in the right place during letter formation to create a streamlined form of cursive that is visually appealing to the point that it is considered an art form.

In this lesson, you'll learn the basics of how to form each capital and lower case letter, as well as how to string them together, and how to adjust digital brushes in Procreate to suit your specific calligraphy needs.

We'll briefly go over supplies and website recs for calligraphy usage, and there will be a talk about formatting and placing your calligraphy as well as basic rules for fonts and lettering. No experience is required, just an enthusiastic attitude! Since this class is taught in Procreate, you will need to bring a charged iPad with the Procreate app installed as well as a charged apple pencil to participate in the class.
