Air New Zealand and Authsignal will share how they worked together to deliver a world class implementation of passkeys to secure Air New Zealand’s customers accounts and a big leap in Air New Zealand’s goals as a world leading digital airline.

Anthony is the product owner for external customer identities at New Zealand’s flagship airline, Air New Zealand. Anthony’s team looks after Air New Zealand’s loyalty customer base and passenger identities across a diverse portfolio of customer applications and experiences. Delivering secure and seamless identity experiences are at the heart of his team, achieving Air New Zealand’s goal of being the best digital airline on the planet.

  • Phil Ross, Tribe Lead (Cyber & Identity), Air New Zealand

Phil is the Tribe Lead (Cyber & Identity) of Air New Zealand and has over 20 years’ experience in securing critical national infrastructure across a broad range of sectors including telecommunications, banking, healthcare, and government. He has extensive consultancy experience, building teams to secure high profile digital transformation programmes across Europe. Phil has developed and executed on cybersecurity strategies in critical infrastructure organisations and is accustomed to working with C-level executives and senior stakeholders to help them understand and respond effectively to digital risk. Phil is on a number of advisory boards and the Executive Council of Digital Identity New Zealand. 

Justin is the founder of Authsignal, a homegrown digital identity platform, that helps platforms scale with their customers and manage security and fraud risks through passwordless technologies and a no-code policy engine. Previously to founding Authsignal, Justin held senior and CTO roles at a buy now pay later platforms and consumer fintech. Justin holds a seat on DINZ's governance body, the Executive Council.

    Colin is a Digital Identity and related disciplines standards specialist of 17 years amassing a treasure-trove of knowledge on comparative digital identity policy and practice across the globe. From humble beginnings in the SSC's Authentication programme in 2005 to leading the globally acclaimed digital identity assurance and standards organisation Kantara Initiative for 5 years, in 2021 he stepped back to reclaim his New Zealand residency and give some time and energy to helping New Zealand regain its leadership in the digital identity space. Well connected and highly respected in international industry and standards consortia over many years, Colin was named in One World Identity's Top 100 Influencers in Identity in 2018.
