Event description

(Pre-requisite: Reframing Racism course)

Looking for the next step in your DEI learning? Our courses are designed to support organizations’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts. Individual users can engage with the learning at their own pace with reflections, guided questions, and access to collaborative organizational forums.

Culture Building Role and Purpose of Feedback Course Description:

Giving and receiving feedback is an integral contributor to a more inclusive workplace culture. What is feedback? It is the process of offering insight into someone’s behavior, actions or beliefs. Done right, giving and receiving feedback can help foster a culture of learning and openness in the workplace. It can also bring new insight around cultural differences in behaviors, beliefs, attitudes, and perspectives. And when everyone feels heard, valued, and included, it brings greater job satisfaction. The course is self-paced, asynchronous learning that takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Racializing Agreements Course Description:

The Six Agreements are some of the best tools that we can offer any person or organization that is looking for support in becoming more racially equitable. The Agreements operate in two different ways: first, as a personal roadmap for how to engage and participate in conversations about race. As an example, the Agreements tell us that we should be listening to understand others and should be speaking our truth in a responsible manner.

Secondly, the Agreements serve as an accountability tool for organizations. For example, organizations can ask themselves if their employees can speak the truth about race without the fear of being reprimanded, or whether all their staff genuinely experience a sense of belonging.

By the end of this course, you will be able to (a) examine the six agreements with a racialized lens gained in the Reframing Racism modules, (b) implement Agreements to navigate conversations about race in a safer, more productive manner, and (c) integrate Agreements into everyday work to make the organization more racially equitable.

Once you register, you will receive your login information via email within 2-3 business days. Your 30-day access will begin the day you receive this email (regardless of the date range you choose in the registration process). If you have any questions or troubleshooting needs, please reach out to digital-support@ceipdx.com.

The Center will gladly issue a completion certificate that participants may use for professional development units/credits. Participants must work with their own certifying bodies for acceptance.
