Take charge of your digital security – join us to build stronger defences and ensure a safer online environment for both you and your learners!
You can register for each of the workshops individually.
A special rate is available for those who register for all four workshops.

Workshop 1 | Digital literacy | The importance of cyber security in education
Date: Tuesday, 4 November 2025, 12.10pm - 1pm
This workshop introduces educators to the growing importance of cyber security within the education sector.
Workshop 2 | Digital literacy | Strengthening passwords and managing authentication
Date: Tuesday, 11 November 2025, 12.10pm - 1pm
In this workshop you’ll learn how to create and manage strong, unique passwords for all your accounts.
Workshop 3 | Digital literacy | Phishing and social engineering threats
Date: Tuesday, 18 November 2025, 12.10pm - 1pm
This workshop will help you identify and avoid phishing attempts, including emails that attempt to steal sensitive information. You’ll also delve into the tactics of social engineering.
Workshop 4 | Digital literacy | Data privacy, device security, and incident response
Date: Tuesday, 25 November 2025, 12.10pm - 1pm
In this workshop you will be introduced to the best practices for protecting sensitive learner data and securing their devices against cyber threats. You’ll also learn how to respond effectively to a data breach or cyber-attack, ensuring minimal damage and fast recovery.

Billing information
We accept payments by card or by invoice. At checkout you will be able to choose your payment option. Invoices are raised by Massey University on behalf of Ako Aotearoa so please note that there will be a delay between registering for the event and receiving the invoice.
PLEASE NOTE: Invoices are limited to payment from registered tertiary organisations only
If you would like to pay by invoice, before registering, please find out from your finance team:
- the billing address and the email address you would like the invoice sent to.
- whether or not you require a purchase number, if a purchase order number is required, please email accounts@ako.ac.nz after registering with the order number in the subject line.
Registering for others?
If you are registering other people, please make sure to select 'Email tickets to each attendee' on the registration form so that each person receives their unique access to the online course/workshop.
Registrations close two days before the course date.
