In November 2025, PKG Safety InnovationTM surveyed senior safety leaders at 20 Australian energy utilities to benchmark digital transformation and AI maturity within WHS. The findings reveal an industry with clear executive ambition but uneven foundations: over 70% of organisations remain in pilot mode for AI, fragmented WHS tech stacks and data quality issues are the norm, and AI experimentation is widespread but success favours simpler use cases.
