Event description

If you've heard a bit about surveillance, facial recognition, AI and privacy but you don't know what the heck is going on, this is for you!

We will be meeting up for chats and jewellery-making to learn more about how computers see and how we can choose what they record about us. Salvaged and recycled materials will be provided to make your own anti-facial-recognition jewellery, and you can also byo old or broken jewellery for upcycling!

This workshop starts with a presentation explaining:

  • Feature recognition

  • Faceprints

  • Your privacy rights in Victoria

and progresses into discussion and crafting.
