Dining with Locals

Local native flowers shared by gardeners and patrons of the Drummer Boy Cafe - showcased online, whilst in full bloom with diners

This is part of a set of displays supported by local gardeners in partnership with cafes who are part of the Semaphore Compost Network.  There are designed as virtual events and evaluated by the online postings and community comments. Plants will return to their usual homes at conclusion of the Festival. Spent blooms will return to soil as compost.

Each day of the Festival, there will be Flags Flying for Nature outside participating cafes / kitchens

Drummer Boy Cafe will be flying the Black Cockatoo Flag produced by community, with the help of Kalyna & Bob, the community artists from SpinFX AustrAliA.  The Suzanne Elliott Charitable Trust provided funding for the Flying Flags for Nature project.  The Flags are now used to highlight events that are good to people and the planet.

The native flowers can be viewed online.  If wanting to visit or dine at Cafe its best to book directly on 0492 823 247.
