Dinner With Duncans: A "Beergustation"
Event description
Duncans are an independent microbrewery established in 2014 and based on the Kapiti Coast of New Zealand's north island. Owner and head brewer George Duncan has partnered with Benchwarmer's head chef Emma Kangasjarvi to create a one-of-a-kind 5 course "beergustation" which perfectly pairs Duncan's werid and wonderful brews and Benchie's mischievous izakaya-fusion.
The 5 course "beergustation" menu will include:
- Duncans "Yum Yum" Yuzu Lager x Benchies OG kara-age chicken
- Duncans "Waiporoporo Lemonade" Sorbet Sour x Benchies kingfish, fried gyoza wraps and sake granita
- Duncans "Black Cherry Brett" Wild Sour x Benchies kimchi arancini w/beetroot jam
- Duncans "Red Velvet" Imperial Pastry Stout x Benchies kangaroo tataki w/curry butter and potato chips
- Duncans "Boysenberry Waffle" Pastry Sour x Benchies miso caramel-glaze donut
This is an extremely exclusive event as George from Duncans will only be in Melbourne for 1 night and he will be personally walking diners through each course including some fascinating stories about how each beer came about. Benchies are limiting tickets to 1 seating and will do our best to cater to any dietary requirements but please let us know ahead of time as we cannot make any changes to dishes on the day of the event.
