Neuk Presents: 'Disability and Climate: Making it work for us' with Farah Ahmed

Join us for a special guest workshop by climate activist and creative, Farah Ahmed. Farah is an organiser, facilitator, creative producer and curator, working to build powerful movements for climate justice through culture and creativity.

In this session we'll explore how neurodivergent artists and creatives can build climate into our work in ways that are inclusive, accessible, and non-judgemental.

We'll discuss:

• Ideas on how to organise for change collectively

More about Farah:

They co-founded Our Diaspora Futures collective, coordinates the Co-Creating Change Alliance, and was formerly the Climate Justice Lead at Julie’s Bicycle. She works across the UK and internationally to develop place-based strategies, training for marginalised communities, climate leadership programmes, toolkits and guides, and mentoring for narrative change towards climate justice. She is currently undertaking a Clore Leadership Fellowship, exploring how we can build cultural infrastructures that build the worlds we need to thrive.

She believes we need to strengthen our cultural movements in ways that are accessible, radical, courageous, decolonial, and grounded in deep care for the human and more-than-human world. Farah is a trustee of Platform and is on multiple advisory boards focusing on justice-led collective action for climate justice.
