Disability Inclusive Emergency Management Community Forum - Sunshine Coast
Description
Bringing people together to make emergency preparedness, response and recovery more inclusive, accessible and person-centred.
About the forum
Emergencies and disasters can affect everyone differently.
Join us for the Disability Inclusive Emergency Management Community Forum – Sunshine Coast to explore how we can make emergency preparedness, response and recovery more inclusive and person-centred for people with disability.
The forum will bring together people with disability, emergency services, local government, community organisations, service providers and other stakeholders from across the Sunshine Coast.
Together, we will:
Share experiences, ideas and what is already working.
Identify gaps and barriers that need to change.
Hear from people with lived experience of disability.
Explore how organisations and services can work together.
Learn how Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (PCEP) can support people to prepare for emergencies and disasters.
Explore practical ways to make disaster preparedness, response and recovery more inclusive.
Hosted by:
Sunshine Coast Council and Queenslanders with Disability Network
