Disability Research Symposium

Science Gallery Melbourne, Science Gallery Theatre
Parkville VIC, Australia
Add to calendar

Tue, 24 Nov, 10:30am - 1:30pm AEDT

Description

Since 2018, the Melbourne Disability Institute has proudly supported a wide range of interdisciplinary research projects, each grounded in collaboration and designed with impact in mind. This symposium shines a spotlight on four of these projects to showcase the power of collaboration between researchers and people with lived experience of disability.

In four short presentations, each project team will take us through their journey from original idea through to key findings, impact, and what's next.

Whether you're a researcher, practitioner, advocate, or simply curious about how lived experience is driving meaningful change in disability research, this is a great opportunity to hear directly from teams who are leading the way in community engaged research.

Accessibility: We arranged for live captions by Captioning Studio. We will also have Auslan interpreters from Auslan Services joining online. If you would like any other accessibility supports, please let us know when you register or email us at md-i@unimelb.edu.au
