Folktale and Digital Storytellers are co-hosting a special in-person session that celebrates the power of storytelling to drive real change.

This event invites community leaders, creatives, and changemakers to explore how intuitive tech and creative tools can support communities to share stories that matter - stories that elevate voices, deepen connection, and inspire action.

If you work in health, education, the arts, the environment, or justice - this is your chance to gain new skills, connect with others, and see how storytelling can help show the true impact of your work.

✨What You'll Experience

Live Demo by Folktale
Sarah Mak, Co-Founder & CEO of Folktale, will provide a hands-on demo of Folktale’s newly launched platform designed for communities. By the end of the session, you’ll be invited to create your own free account and start building your community space.

Preview Workshop by Digital Storytellers
Led by Natasha Akib, co-founder of Digital Storytellers’ education programs. Get a taste of their acclaimed workshop through an introduction to the Story Canvas—a simple, powerful tool to shape purpose-driven stories that connect and inspire. You’ll also learn how to access further workshops to grow your practice.

Put It Into Practice
Take what you’ve learned in the Preview Workshop and start bringing it to life in your own Folktale community space!

🍽️Post-Event Lunch (Optional)

Stay on after the session for a casual networking lunch with Folktale and Digital Storytellers, from 12:00–1:30pm. A simple lunch and barista coffee will be available for purchase.

About the Venue: Impact Story Lab Sydney is a creative home for storytellers, campaigners, and community leaders using story as a force for good. You’ll also hear about the upcoming Pathway to Purpose program—an opportunity to go deeper into storytelling for impact.
