"Ask a Physicist Anything" Q&A: Bring your wildest, weirdest, and biggest science questions! Sit down with a real physicist and get direct, fascinating answers about space, everyday physics phenomena, careers and more,
Interactive Expo & Demos: Roam through interactive physics setups, try out cool hands-on experiments alongside current students, and check out real student stories to see where studying physics can take you.
Free Food: Enjoy complimentary refreshments while hanging out with current students and fellow science enthusiasts!

Any student in Years 8 to 12 who is curious about science!
If you already love physics: Come connect with like-minded students, test out hands-on demos, and chat with UniMelb students and experts who share your passion.
If you're still deciding on senior subjects: Come get an honest, no-pressure look at what physics actually involves and where it can take you beyond high school.
We believe physics belongs to everyone, and we warmly welcome students of all genders, cultural backgrounds, and experience levels. Whether you're a self-proclaimed science nerd or just wondering if physics is right for you, there's a spot for you here. Parents, guardians, and teachers are also very welcome to attend.
- Do I need to be a top physics student to come?
Not at all! Whether you're taking physics, just love science, or simply want to explore your options after high school, this event is open to everyone. No prior physics knowledge required.
- Can parents or guardians attend with students?
Yes! Parents and guardians are more than welcome. Please register a ticket for each person attending so we can manage venue capacity.
- Will food be provided?
Refreshments will be provided during the expo portion of the evening. Please let us know of any dietary requirements when reserving your ticket.
- Is there any cost associated to attend this event?
No, this event is completely free of charge for all attending students, parents, guardians, and teachers. Complimentary catering is also included. While there is no entry fee, please secure your spot via Humanitix to assist with venue capacity planning and dietary requirements.
